Looking for a way to spend a few idle hours? Have a talent you would like to share? Want to learn a new skill? The National Park Service offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups as part of the Volunteers-In-Parks program. Volunteers at the Jimmy Carter National Historical Park help preserve and maintain the cultural and historic resources of the park for today’s visitors and future generations who will explore the park years from now. Jimmy Carter National Historical Park volunteers play an essential role in daily operations.

Volunteer duties could include greeting visitors and providing valuable information, caring for farm animals, mending fences, gathering vegetables in the garden, assisting with the park library, or assisting with school groups, depending on your interest. Consider enriching our visitors’ experiences by sharing your time and knowledge at the Jimmy Carter National Historical Park.
