Volunteers Needed for Sugar Maple Study at National Lakeshore

Join park staff and other volunteers for a morning of stewardship on Saturday, January 20, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore’s Chellberg Farm. Help survey maple trees that are part of a national sugar maple research study. If the weather permits, we will start “tapping” the study trees. No previous experience is necessary. This is an outdoor project so dress for the weather and be prepared to walk in the winter woods. Meet at the Chellberg Farm / Bailly Homestead visitor center adjacent to the parking lot.
