Bring your kayak or canoe and enjoy a leisurely sunset paddle with a park ranger every Thursday evening in August from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore’s Marquette Lagoons. This easy sunset adventure includes a visit to a lodge of one of our busiest animals, the American beaver. You must bring your own canoe or kayak, life jacket, and paddle. Meet at the Marquette Park Lagoon parking lot near the stairs located just north of the Marquette Pavilion. This program is co-sponsored by the Miller Spotlight Access Committee.
Marquette Park is located in the western portion of the national lakeshore at 1 North Grand Boulevard, about two miles north of U.S. Highway 12 in the Miller neighborhood of Gary.
