Join staff and fellow volunteers for a morning of stewardship on Saturday, April 15, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Heron Rookery. Please volunteer to help save the great biodiversity of this area by removing invasive plant species. No special knowledge or training is required. Wear comfortable clothes; work gloves and other protective equipment will be provided. Consider packing a lunch and staying for a wildflower hike, which will take place from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Meet at the Heron Rookery’s east parking lot, which is located at 1336 North County Road 600E in Michigan City. The GPS coordinates are 41.627043, -86.952446 (Decimal Degrees). For more information on this or other programs at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, call 219-395-1882 or check out our website at www.nps.gov/indu and our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/IndianaDunesNL.
