Join members from various local astronomical societies including the Chicago Astronomical Society on Saturday, November 5 at 5:30 pm at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore’s Kemil Beach parking lot. Telescopes of epic proportions will be on hand for visitors to view the fascinating nighttime skies. During November stargazing, the crescent moon appears low in the southwest sky. Venus may be visible shortly after sunset. The Pleiades star cluster is rising in the east. Overhead, star clusters, colored double stars, planetary nebula, and galaxies may be visible. The Kemil Beach parking lot is located on East State Park Road (300E), one mile north of U.S. Highway 12 and three miles east of State Road 49.
