Enjoy a snowshoe hike on a trail outside the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore Visitor Center from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 7, 14, or 28. Snowshoes are provided for free.

Learn a little bit about nature in winter and how to explore its beauty on snowshoes. Join a ranger at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center for a brief indoor program on winter and the use of snowshoes. Then, get a chance to try out some snowshoes on a ranger-led hike through the fields and woods surrounding the center. A limited number of snowshoes are provided or you are welcome to bring your own. If there is not enough snow for snowshoeing, we will offer a traditional hike instead.

The Indiana Dunes Visitor Center is located at 1215 North State Road 49, about one mile north of Interstate 94. For more information on this or other programs at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, call 219-395-1882 or visit our website at www.nps.gov/indu and our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/IndianaDunesNL.
