Enjoy a ranger-led snowshoe hike at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 7, 14, 21, or 28, and also on Sunday, January 15. Snowshoes are provided for free.
Learn a little bit about nature in winter and how to explore its beauty on snowshoes. Join a ranger at Indiana Dunes Visitor Center for a brief indoor program on winter and the use of snowshoes. Then, get a chance to try out some snowshoes on a ranger-led hike through the fields and woods surrounding the center. A limited number of snowshoes are provided or you are welcome to bring your own. If there is not enough snow for snowshoeing, we will offer a traditional hike instead.
The Indiana Dunes Visitor Center is located at 1215 North State Road 49, about one mile north of Interstate 94.
