Join a ranger and Marc Milne, an arachnologist (spider expert) for an afternoon of science on Saturday, September 8, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education. Following a presentation in the Douglas Center, follow Marc out into Miller Woods to collect spiders for his research.
Scientific research helps park managers make important decisions when caring for our parks. We will explore our own ideas about science and learn about scientific investigations going on within Great Lakes national parks. Science Saturday will be offered on the second Saturday of each month through October.
