INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE: Join rangers at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore for an afternoon exploring two of our historic homesteads on Saturday, May 27, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Meet at 12:00 pm in the Bailly/Chellberg parking lot for an informative 90-minute hike to the Bailly Cemetery. Upon returning, explore the interiors of the Chellberg Farmhouse and the historic Bailly Homestead from 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm. Learn about early settlers and farmers who came to this region in the 1800s. You can also see the farm animals who have recently returned to the Chellberg Farm. The Bailly Homestead / Chellberg Farm main parking lot is located on Mineral Springs Road between U.S. Highway 20 and U.S. Highway 12 in Porter, Indiana.
