Kids of all ages are invited to celebrate and play in the outdoors at the Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education at Indiana Dunes National Park on Saturday, March 16, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The program includes building forts, hiking in Miller Woods, doing a free craft activity, and feeding our resident fish, turtles, snakes, toads, and frogs. Parents can watch their children’s creativity blossom during these relaxing two hours. Rangers lead the free program and there is no need to pre-register.

The Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education is located in the western portion of the national park at 100 North Lake Street, about one mile north of U.S. Highway 12 in the Miller neighborhood of Gary.
