INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE: The National Park Service (NPS) has issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Preferred Alternative in the Environmental Assessment of the"Restoration of Cowles Bog Wetland Complex's Lake Plain Wet-Mesic Prairie for Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore". The FONSI and the NPS's response to public comments can be found online at

The restoration project includes vegetation management and hydrological modifications aimed at restoring the Cowles Bog wetland complex. Project work described in the Environmental Assessment will begin immediately.
