INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE: The Dunes Learning Center invites the public to celebrate National Get Outdoors Day on Saturday, June 10, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at their National Lakeshore campus. Get up close with nature or enjoy a quiet moment under the trees with guided hikes, science games, camp crafts, live music from School of Rock, and a picnic lunch on the lawn. Learn about the secret life of the Little Calumet River. Pull on a tree-climbing harness and ascend into the canopy. Bring your refillable water bottle to collect a Dunes Learning Center sticker! Please visit www.duneslearningcenter.org/events to register and download an event schedule.

Event partners and sponsors include ArcelorMittal, BP, Enbridge, Friends of Indiana Dunes, Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, and NIPSCO. Arts activities made possible, in part, with support from the Indiana Arts Commission, South Shore Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
