Join a ranger in August for an opportunity to climb to the top of the famous Mount Baldy sand dune. An evening hike takes place on Friday, August 12th from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm and morning hikes are offered on Sunday August 14, 21, and 28 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Mount Baldy is closed for general public use due to public safety and restoration concerns, so these ranger-led hikes allow visitors to safely experience the beauty and spectacular views from the top of one of the tallest dunes in Indiana Dunes National Park.

Meet at the Mount Baldy parking lot, located off of U.S. Highway 12, just west of Michigan City, Indiana. For more information on this and other programs at Indiana Dunes National Park you can call 219-395-1882.
