Join a ranger at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore on Sunday, April 30, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm for a hike to the top of famous Mount Baldy. Even though the area is closed for general public use, this ranger-led tour allows visitors to experience the beauty and spectacular views from the tallest dune in the national lakeshore. Space is limited, so make a reservation by calling 219-395-1882.
The hike starts at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center, which is located at 1215 North State Road 49 in Porter, about one mile north of Interstate 94. After a brief introduction, participants will drive their own cars to Mount Baldy for a ranger-led hike to top of the dune.
The tours are free, but reservations are required. Call 219-395-1882 to make reservations and to find out more information on this or other programs at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Also, please check out our website at www.nps.gov/indu and our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/
