Join staff and fellow volunteers for a morning of stewardship on Saturday, July 13, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, at Indiana Dunes National Park’s Miller Woods. Projects will focus on the preservation and restoration of the rare black oak savanna and wetland complexes found in Miller Woods.
This will be an outdoor activity so dress for the weather and be prepared to walk off-trail in the woods. All equipment and protective gear including gloves and eye protection will be provided. Please meet at the Paul H. Douglas Center.
The Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education is located in the western portion of the national lakeshore at 100 North Lake Street, about one mile north of U.S. Highway 12 in the Miller neighborhood of Gary.
