Celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders during a one-hour program at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore’s visitor center on Saturday, January 13, at 2:00 pm.
Join a national park ranger for a presentation about Dr. King and several national park sites that commemorate the struggle for African American civil rights. Sites included in the program are the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site (NHS), Chicago Portage Naval Magazine National Memorial, Brown vs. Board of Education NHS, Central High School NHS, and the Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail.
