Celebrate our region’s most precious natural resource – the Great Lakes with a concert by singer and song writer Lee Murdock. Broadly acknowledged as, “the premier interpreter of songs and tales about the Great Lakes,” Lee Murdock’s work is an anthem to the people who live, work, and play along the freshwater highways of North America. Join us for this free concert on Saturday, October 8th, at 7:00 p.m.in the auditorium of the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center.

Murdock has been performing folk music for more than three decades before enthusiastic audiences throughout the Great Lakes region. Commenting on his music, Murdock said, “I’m interested in trying to find the life in these songs; in making music that’s exciting to people today. I am looking for the songs and the interesting stories, not only for the people who already enjoy folk music, but for those who think they don’t like folk music.”

This concert is part of the year-long celebration of Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore’s 50th Anniversary and the Centennial of the National Park Service. The concert is presented free to the public thanks to the support of park partner, the Friends of Indiana Dunes, Inc.

The Indiana Dunes Visitor Center is located at 1215 North State Road 49 in Porter, Indiana. The exhibit is free.
