There is always something happening at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. If you would like to find out more about the park, or let the National Park Service know what you think, you are invited to attend one of the Open Forums with the Superintendent.

Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore Superintendent Costa Dillon will hold three Open Forums this summer. This will be the third year he has hosted these informal meetings to answer questions or listen to thoughts about the national park. There will be three meetings at a variety of locations. The first will coincide with the Silver Anniversary Celebration of the Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education on Lake Street in Miller, Indiana on June 25, 2011 when you can meet the Superintendent from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. On July 6, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Dillon will be at the Beverly Shores Town Hall at 500 S. Broadway in Beverly Shores, and on August 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the Superintendent will be at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center at 1215 N. State Road 49 in Porter, Indiana.

Superintendent Dillon said he welcomes the opportunity to hear from the public. "One of the great things about national parks is that we are places for the public to use and enjoy," said Dillon, we want to hear suggestions, ideas, and even complaints that will make the park a better place."

No reservations are required. Just show up.
