Historic Sites Open House and Cemetery Tour at the National Lakeshore

Spend an afternoon learning about Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore’s historic Bailly Homestead, Bailly Cemetery, and the Chellberg Farm on Sunday, May 27, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Meet the ranger at 12:00 pm at the Bailly/Chellberg Parking Lot for an informative 90-minute hike to the Bailly Cemetery. After the hike, explore the grounds of both historic homes from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm to learn about the early settlers and farmers who came to this region in the 1800s.
 
The Bailly Homestead / Chellberg Farm main parking lot is located on Mineral Springs Road between U.S. Highway 20 and U.S. Highway 12 in Porter, Indiana. The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is one of 417 units of the National Park System ranging from Yellowstone to the Statue of Liberty.
