INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE: Artists from Hammond High School will be opening a new nature-inspired art exhibit at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore's Douglas Center with a reception on Saturday, May 12, from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Inspired by Miller Woods and other national lakeshore areas, high school students from Hammond High School will be showcasing their talents in paintings and other media during this open house. Guests can share their thoughts and inspirations with the students and other visitors over refreshments. The exhibit will remain at the Douglas Center until mid-June for visitors to see during the center's normal business hours of Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
