Free Movies this Winter at the National Park Visitor Center

INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL PARK: Escape the cold and join a ranger and fellow visitors on Saturdays and Sundays in January for a National Park themed movie at the Indiana Dunes National Park Visitor Center. On Saturday, January 7, 14, 21, and 28 the movies begin at 10:00 A.M. and on Sunday, January 8, 15, 22, and 29 they begin at 2:00 P.M. The movies change every weekend and run between an hour to an hour and a half in length.

This month’s movies are: Shifting Sands on January 7 and 8, The Tuskegee Airmen and Steel and Steam on January 14 and 15, Everglades of the North on January 21 and 22and Heroes on Deck on January 28 and 29. 

The Indiana Dunes Visitor Center is located at 1215 North State Road 49, about one mile north of Interstate 94 in Porter, Indiana. The Indiana Dunes National Park is one of more than 400 units of the National Park System ranging from Yellowstone to the Statue of Liberty. Located in Northwest Indiana, the park includes 15 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and 15,000 acres of biodiverse beaches, woods, prairies, and marshes. Over 3 million visitors come to the Indiana Dunes each year.
