Last Pinhook Bog Open House of 2019 at National Park

Take a self-guided hike into the amazing Pinhook Bog on Sunday, October 6, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Indiana Dunes National Park. Rangers and volunteers stationed along the trail will help you understand this unique remnant of the last ice age that is filled with insect-eating plants, orchids, and many other interesting plants. Allow one hour to walk the trail and tour the quaking bog. Please arrive before 2:00 pm to allow enough time to complete the tour. This is the last time that Pinhook Bog will be open in 2019.
 
The Pinhook Bog parking lot is located at 920 North Wozniak Road in Michigan City. The GPS coordinates are 41.621214, -86.850227 (Decimal Degrees).
