Join in the celebration of 20 years and 100,000 young people served! Established in 1998 with a mission to inspire lasting curiosity and stewardship with nature, Dunes Learning Center continues the environmental education legacy of co-founder Lee Botts. A strong advocate committed to preserving public lands and protecting the Great Lakes for future generations, Lee set the standard for emerging conservation leaders to teach and inspire young people at Dunes Learning Center. This year, more than 12,000 students will learn from hands-on outdoor experiences, grow to appreciate the natural environment and take action as the stewards of tomorrow.
