Join staff and the creative Chellberg Farm cooks to learn how to preserve and can vegetables at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore on Sunday, August 27. Pickles will be canned from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and tomatoes will be canned from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This is a great program for people who want to learn how to get started in home canning and pick up some of the tricks of the trade. Handouts on canning and recipes will be shared. Be sure to bring the kids at 4:00 pm to help feed the farm animals at Chellberg Farm. |
