INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE: At approximately 3:00 p.m. today, boaters on Lake Michigan reported finding a human body floating in the lake along the eastern portion of Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. National park rangers and personnel from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Beverly Shores fire and police departments, U.S. Coast Guard, Porter County EMS, and the Porter County Coroner's Office responded. Beverly Shores fire personnel retrieved the body from the water approximately one-quarter mile offshore. Upon arrival, the deputy coroner took custody of the body. The body has not yet been identified. No further details are available. Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is part of the National Park Service.
