Join a ranger at the Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education on Sunday, June 23, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm for a “Wonders of Wildlife – the American Beaver” program. Our native beaver was once gone from the dunes but has made a remarkable comeback. This program takes place in and around the Paul H. Douglas Center where the beaver has once again taken up residence. This summer, a different animal is featured on the fourth Sundays in July and August.

The Paul H. Douglas Center for Environmental Education is at 100 North Lake Street, about one mile north of U.S. Highway 12 in the Miller neighborhood of Gary. For more information on this or other programs at Indiana Dunes National Park, call 219-395-1882 or visit our website at www.nps.gov/indu and our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/IndianaDunesNPS.
