Bishop William White

Bishop White is amazing.  He started a school for the deaf, the Magdalen Society, and was involved with the abolitionist movement.  He never owned a slave and paid all his servants.  Rather than abandoning ship when his servants caught yellow fever, he nursed them.  One of his close servants died in his arms.

Sounds like he believed that all men are created equal. When he could have turned his back on helping, he stooped to care for others. How many people would do that today?

What an inspiring example of courage and caring. We all should find ways to help people in need whenever we can.
