Orientation for Project Write

July 13, 2012 Posted by: Ranger Renee

Thomas Jefferson spoke about writing for his audience last night at orientation for Project Write.  He gave examples of how he communicated his opinion of Shays Rebellion differently to the people he corresponded with.  After that, Mr. Jefferson instructed the parents to write three sentences on the same subject for a blog, to their best friend and to their children.  Meanwhile, the students Tweeted this, "Mr. Jefferson has been resurrected upon a very grand level.  He has been telling the parents to write..."

The students will be doing a lot of writing starting this Monday.  Our theme for Project Write is Inspire Me!  The Power of Words.  And, our motto comes from John Adams, "Let us dare to read, think, speak and write."

I say to the students:  I dare you!
