In 2006 the National Park Service, working in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Bay Lakes Regional Planning Commission, completed a Corridor Plan and Environmental Assessment for the three counties which comprise the Lake Michigan Corridor: Kewaunee, Manitowoc, and Sheboygan Counties. An electronic version of the completed Lake Michigan Corridor Plan is maintained on the Wisconsin DNR's planning website.
