The Ice Age Floods National Geologic Trail weaves through four states, and both public and private lands but it does not own or manage directly any land. It is important for visitors to make themselves aware of laws, rules, and regulations of the they are visiting. It is up to the visitor to make sure they are following the rules and laws of the places they are visiting.

Ice Age Floods National Geologic Tail has several management document which help guide the development and oversight of the Trail. The National Park Service developed a Foundation Statement document in 2014. The Foundations Statement is available here and an overview of the Foundations Statement can be found here. Ice Age Floods National Geologic Trail also has completed a Long Range Interpretive Plan which helps guide management decisions regarding the Trail's Interpretive program. Please contact the Program Manager (509) 237-9722 if you have any questions or would like additional information.
