Homestead National Monument of America continues to celebrate innovation during the homesteading era with Kids in Parks: Into the Unknown!. Bring your family and friends and discover who the alien creatures of the prairie are and how they interacted with homesteaders. Each program has an introduction, interactive discovery time, and take-home craft. The programs take place at Homestead’s Education Center from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the following dates:
The Kids in Parks: Into the Unknown! summer programs at Homestead are open to the public and take place at Homestead’s Education Center from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays. The programs are FREE of charge. We encourage the use of sunscreen, bug spray, and closed toed shoes as we investigate the mysterious unknown of the tall-grass prairie. |
