![]() NPS Ranger-Led Field Trips Make a Reservation (required): Program reservations are required at least one month in advance, and group size is limited to a maximum of 50 students per day. Program availability is first-come, first-served. To make a request, please submit a completed Reservation Request. Apply for a Fee Waiver (required): Schools visiting the park for a ranger-guided program can apply for an educational fee waiver for park access. Please read the Application Instructions and request a fee waiver application by sending an email to the Fee & Commercial Services Manager. The completed educational fee waiver application package must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance of your visit. Travel Grants: A limited number of travel grants are available for schools with restricted travel budgets. This offer only applies to Title 1 public schools who are scheduled to attend one of our education programs. Inquire with the Education Team to find out if grant funds are available. Self-Guided Field Trips: If schools are not able to participate in a ranger-led field trip but would like to lead an independent field trip, apply for an educational fee waiver for park access.
