Art in the Park – April 25 (10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.)
George Washington Carver has a passion for art. This event features plein air artists, kid-friendly activities, and instructional workshops with pastels, natural dyes, pencil, and more. Earn a special Art in the Park Junior Ranger badge.
Carver Day Celebration – July 11 (10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) Join us for a special day celebrating the establishment of George Washington Carver National Monument 83 years ago! Carver Day features programs interpreting the life and legacy of George Washington Carver, guest speakers, musical groups, and exhibitors. Earn a special Carver Day Junior Ranger badge! A concession stand will be available.
Storytelling Day – August 22 (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) Celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the National Park Service through storytelling. Storytellers will share compelling narratives of United States history and culture.
Prairie Day – September 12 (10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) Explore life on the Missouri prairie when George Washington Carver was a child. This event features basket weaving, candle-making, spinning, storytelling, musical groups, quilting, archaeology, Civil War history, interactive exhibits about natural resources, and more. Earn a special Prairie Day Junior Ranger badge! A concession stand will be available.
Holiday Open House – December 12 (1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.) Let’s enjoy the holidays together! Join park staff and volunteers for an afternoon filled with seasonal music, arts & crafts, and festive refreshments.
