The Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor is managed by the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor Commission. Commissioners work in partnership with the National Park Service and the State Historic Preservation Offices of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The Commission consists of fifteen members; five cultural resource experts and ten state representatives from the four states along the corridor. There are also ten alternate positions on the Commission.
Expert Commissioners and Alternates
There are five cultural resouce expert positions on the Commission selected by the Secretary of the Interior - two from SC, and one each from Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.
State Nominated Commissioners and Alternates
There are ten positions on the Commission nominated by the State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPOs) in each state- four from South Carolina and two each from Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.
