Available beginning May 1, 2023Click to comment on proposed feesTwo additional tours of Lehman Caves at Great Basin National Park are proposed to begin in 2024. The park is seeking public comments on the proposed fees for these additional tours before final decisions. In determining proposed fees, the park completed a cost comparison to similar tours offered by other cave operations. The comment period will open May 1 and close June 1, 2023. The original closing date was May 30, however technical issues interrupted the comment process for two days, so additional days have been added to June 1, 2023. Thank you for your patience! Lehman Caves Additional Tours & Associated FeesGothic Palace TourThe Gothic Palace Tour will allow visitors with limited time or mobility difficulties an opportunity to experience the first large chamber of Lehman Caves. Here visitors can experience a wide array of cave formations found all along tour trails, including rare shield formations.
Wild Cave TourThe Wild Cave Tour will allow visitors to explore Lehman Caves away from developed trails. This introductory caving experience will focus on safe caving techniques and conservation. It will be a strenuous, off-trail experience requiring crawling, bending, stooping, and climbing. The park will provide helmets, headlamps, kneepads, and gloves. Visitors will be required to wear long sturdy pants, long-sleeved shirts, and sturdy footwear that they don't mind getting dirty and torn.
