2011 Junior Ranger Programs Junior Ranger Day at Glen Echo Park Saturday, April 30, 2011 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Children ages 7-12 can earn a badge, certificate and other awards for completing five pages in the Junior Ranger Activity Booklet. Or earn a badge and certifcate any day you visit: Pick up a Junior Ranger Program book at the Ranger Station, complete activities in the book during your site visit and earn a Junior Ranger Badge and certificate. Also, walk next door to the Clara Barton National Historic Site, complete activities in the book and earn an additional badge and certificate. 2011 Junior Ranger Summer Camp Information July 12th - 13th 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. July 19th - 20th 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. August 2nd - 3rd 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. August 9th - 10th 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. History will come alive for children ages 9-12 during an exciting two-day camp with fun-filled learning activities related to the history of Glen Echo Park and Clara Barton's life. Campers will gain an understanding of the National Park Service mission and the national signifigance of both sites. Campers will spend two days with a Park Ranger and visit both sites, Glen Echo Park and Clara Barton National Historic Site and earn two Junior Ranger badges and certificates.
