GETTYSBURG, PA – The Taneytown Road entrance into the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center will reopen on June 8. Initially closed on December 5, 2022, the Visitor Center Drive required a full replacement. The original asphalt surface had reached the end of its lifespan and was replaced by concrete. All normal operating services and routes that utilize this road will return to normal on June 8. In addition, Parking Lot 3, and all walking trails adjacent to the construction area will reopen to the public. Alternate roads around the construction area, Hunt Avenue and Granite School House Lane, will return to two-way traffic after they were temporarily made one-way during the project.
