Line painting on West Confederate Avenue will cause intermittent closures

To accommodate a line painting project, West Confederate Avenue will have intermittent closures throughout the day on Monday, November 20, Gettysburg National Military Park officials have announced. West Confederate Avenue will remain open but there will be intermediate closures in short intervals as the work progresses throughout the day. In case of inclement weather the work may have to be postponed to a later date.

“We apologize for the inconvenience to park visitors and the Gettysburg community,” said Chuck Hunt, acting superintendent for Gettysburg National Military Park.

Traffic patterns on West Confederate Avenue will be changed when the work is completed to accommodate two-way traffic from McMillan Woods, the youth group campground and horse trailer parking area, north to Route 116. West Confederate Avenue will remain one-way from McMillan Woods, southbound.
