Contact: Katie Lawhon, 717/ 338-4402 Contact: Katherine Gaskin, 717/ 337-4137 Healthy Adams County, Gettysburg National Military Park, and numerous community partners invite you to our first Annual Adams County "Come Walk With Me" event, April 30 from 2 pm - 5 pm at the Gettysburg Middle School Stadium. The rain date is May 1 at the same time. This event is family friendly, community-wide and free! Come enjoy a walk of your choice on the fitness track, or join the National Park Service for a walk on Culp's Hill, with special Civil War programs along the route. The stadium will host various fitness activities for the whole family, and participants can enjoy music, snacks and chances to win prizes.
Event organizers hope you will be inspired by the theme and invite your family, friends, neighbors or co-workers to come walk with you! Walking improves our physical, mental and emotional health and when we do it together it allows us to be more motivated and connected! The first 500 to sign in at the event will receive a free give-away.
