Freedom Riders National Monument was established in January 2017 to preserve the history of the Freedom Riders in and around Anniston, Alabama. The national monument has limited or no visitor facilities at many sites.

Visitor centers are open specific hours and days.
The Greyhound Bus Depot has outdoor exhibits that visitors can explore when the Visitor Center is closed. Due to limited hours at the Anniston Greyhound Bus Depot, information about Freedom Riders National Monument is also available at the Calhoun County Area Chamber & Visitors Center. The Visitor Vestibule with the passport stamp and park brochures offers additional hours Monday through Thursday 8 am–5 pm and 8 am–4 pm Friday (Closed holidays). An entrance pass is not required to access Freedom Riders National Monument. Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money. Public WiFi is not available. We do not have public Wi-Fi available at our sites, but all sites have cellular access.
