Trust for Public Land

Trust for Public Land (TPL) is an authorized philanthropic partner of Freedom Riders National Monument as part of TPL’s partnership with the National Park Service (NPS) to open, activate, and restore irreplaceable sites in the South that had seminal roles in the Civil Rights Movement and the history of Black Americans. Trust for Public Land is a national nonprofit that works to connect everyone to the benefits and joys of the outdoors. Since 1972, TPL has worked with communities to create parks and protect public land where they are needed most.
