Trust for Public Land

Trust for Public Land (TPL) is an authorized philanthropic partner of Freedom Riders National Monument as part of TPL’s partnership with the National Park Service (NPS) to open, activate, and restore irreplaceable sites in the South that had seminal roles in the Civil Rights Movement and the history of Black Americans. Trust for Public Land is a national nonprofit that works to connect everyone to the benefits and joys of the outdoors. Since 1972, TPL has worked with communities to create parks and protect public land where they are needed most. Calhoun County Area Chamber & Visitors Center

The Calhoun County Area Chamber & Visitors Center helps to promote travel to Calhoun County and Freedom Riders National Monument by working within Calhoun County and across the state. The Chamber building also serves as a visitor center for Freedom Riders National Monument.

City of Anniston

The City of Anniston was a large supporter during the 65th Commemoration of the Freedom Riders. They have also worked with Freedom Riders National Monument to address accessibility issues with the Greyhound Bus Depot.

Calhoun County

Calhoun County has helped with improvements to the Greyhound Bus Burning Site along Highway 202 outside of Anniston. They built a gravel parking lot and helped with installation of signs.
