Watrous, NM:  Please join Fort Union National Monument staff for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially unveil the newly renovated visitor center exhibit area at 10:30 am, Saturday, December 3, 2022.

The completed project provides visitors a multicultural understanding of the changes brought about by the US – Mexican War, Fort Union and US Military, Civil War, Indian Wars, Santa Fe Trail, and the American Indian and Hispanic-cultures of the region. The renovated 1,600-square-foot exhibit hall has further improved accessibility and orientation in the first major redesign of the original 1960 facility.

Come experience, as conveyed through multiple perspectives, the new exhibits at your Fort Union.

Fort Union National Monument is west of Watrous, NM. Take exit 366 off I-25 and follow NM 161 eight miles west to the Monument.
