"McNeal's Marvelous Medicine Show"

Las Vegas, NM: Come one, come all to McNeal's Marvelous Medicine Show! Join Diana Enright as she brings to life the story of Violet McNeal, one of the few women to master the art of the medicine show. The Victorian era was a time when doctors were rare and medical practices could be painfully barbaric. The medicine show combined theatre with marketing to provide people with "cures" for what ailed them. The program will be held at the CCHP/Santa Fe Trail Interpretive Center, 116 Bridge Street, Las Vegas, New Mexico, Thursday, November 20, 7:00PM.

The Glimpses of the Past series are free in partnership with the Citizens Committee for Historic Preservation. For more information, contact Fort Union National Monument at (505) 425-8025, visit www.nps.gov/foun, or like on us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/FortUnionNM.
