“Glimpses of the Past in Northeastern NM – A.D. 300 to 800” Fort Union National Monument presents “Glimpses of the Past in Northeastern New Mexico A.D. 300-800” by Dr. Warren Lail, Assistant Professor of Anthropology at NM Highlands University on Thursday Nov 19th, 7pm at Citizens Committee for Historic Preservation at 116 Bridge Street, Las Vegas. Dr. Lail will focus on recent findings of hundreds of ancient artifacts found at Philmont Ranch, through university class fieldwork These findings help tell the story of native peoples during this period and explain the lives of these new extinct cultures. The monthly “Glimpses of the Past” programs are free of charge, in cooperation with Citizens Committee for Historic Preservation.
