Environmentalist Rachel Carson’s Legacy to be presented at CCHP

  

The presentation, Rachel Carson: Heritage of a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Heroine, will be given by Chris Leeser, Visitor Services Specialist of the Las Vegas National Wildlife Refuge on Thursday March 18th, 7pm at Citizens Committee for Historic Preservation at 116 Bridge Street, Las Vegas.  Rachel Carson, the first female professional in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and noted author of Silent Spring, is credited with founding the modern environmental movement.  The monthly “Glimpses of the Past” programs are free of charge, in cooperation with Citizens Committee for Historic Preservation.
