Discovering Fort Smith - Grades 5-12

Working in groups using the museum's exhibits as primary sources of information, students will use activity sheets to research and then present their findings to the group. Topics include the historic jails, US Deputy Marshals, Judge Isaac C. Parker and his courtroom, and events that shaped the history of Fort Smith.

Based on Common Core standards, this program has been tested and approved by students and teachers.

If you have a small class or do not want the class to work in groups, there are two options.
1. Send the students on a Solo Expedition (grades 5 - 12).
