“Soundbreaking” for Flight 93 National Memorial’s Tower of Voices Marks Final Major Phase of Construction of Memorial’s Original Design
In partnership with the Families and Friends of Flight 93 and the National Park Foundation, Flight 93 National Memorial will break ground (and sound) today on a visual and audible reminder of the courageous actions of the 40 passengers and crew of United Flight 93. This feature marks the final phase of major construction of the memorial’s original design and will be named the Tower of Voices (TOV)

Wally Miller, the Somerset County coroner who played such an integral role in the aftermath of the crash of Flight 93 on September 11, 2001, will be the featured speaker on June 17-18 at Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset County.

Flight 93 National Memorial Offers Free Distance Learning Event
Students and teachers are invited to join a live, distance learning session on Friday, September 9 as part of the 15th anniversary observance of September 11, 2001. This educational video conference is made possible through partnership between the National Park Service, Internet2, and the Keystone Initiative for Network Based Education and Research. The free, one-hour program will be broadcast live from Flight 93 National Memorial twice so student audiences coast-to-coast have the opportunity to participate.
