Post activity opportunities
Students across the nation have the opportunity to “Write to Remember”, a collaboration with the National Writing Project. This activity allows students to share writing in response to prompts about Flight 93 and September 11th.
Option 1: For grades 6-8, we suggest assigning each student a crew member or passenger from Flight 93 to learn more about. On the Memorial website, students and educators can explore educational resources to learn more about each individual. Educators can find further recommended reading titles related to Flight 93 to share with students as well.
Students can then “Write to Remember” by following Prompt #1 and write a letter to a crew member or passenger of Flight 93 based what they learned about their life and their actions.
