News Release Date: September 3, 2010 Park facilities were closed on Friday, September 3, in anticipation of the effects of Hurricane Earl as it passed to the east. Camping was restricted and beaches were closed to swimming as of Thursday, September 2. Ferry service to Sailors Haven and Watch Hill was suspended for Friday. Park operations are expected to resume after assessment of damages on Saturday. Hazardous surf conditions may, however, keep beaches closed to swimming. |
