ANDES MOUNTAINS

El Tatio Geyser Field sits high in the Andes Mountains in a valley surrounded by active volcanoes. Most of the geysers here spout less than 3 feet (1 m) high, with the tallest erupting no more than 20 feet (6 m) in height. At least 80 true geysers and numerous perpetual spouters are found here, making El Tatio the third largest geyser field in the world.

Geysers and hot springs steam high in the Andes Mountains.
